Can anyone tell me why Champion Racing's B7 RS4 isn't competing in Speed World Challenge this year?
From what I understand, they had it fully developed and ready to go racing, but some 11th-hour problem/misunderstanding/issue kept them out of the series for '07.

Not likely. Otherwise, why would they have completely developed the car, then not raced it? The...
....car exists, and is now being used by Audi for "Ride and Drives" around the country in conjunction with an R8.

IIRC there was a rules change...
Regardless of that, there was no intention of fielding the car this season anyway. The build wasn't finished until 8pm the Monday before Sebring.

The decision not to race it was made before the car was completed
At least that's what I was told. At that point then they most likely cut some corners on areas such as the rear suspension that didn't need to comply with certain rules any more.
Regardless, that car is a damn blast! I'd love to have one of those tucked away in our garage here at Miller...
