YES it can. The CD changer in my A3 plays MP3 CDs all the time.
I'm 99% sure we're talking about the exact same changer too. As for the Nav, I'm not sure why one would want to remove the DVD disc to play a CD.

NO it can't...
I have MANY MP3 CD's they ALL play in the DVD slot in the Nav, but NONE of them play in the glovebox changer.
P.S. The Nav CANNOT play MP3 DVD's.

Well I'm not sure why that is unless the unit in the RS4 is different
which I doubt. It could be the type of CDRs being used? All I know is my unit plays them just fine with no issues whatsoever.

Did you have a changer in your S4? I haven't tried playing MP3s with the changer but I've also been under the impression that the changer doesn't read MP3s in any Audi model. Maybe the A3 is different from the RS4 and S4.
