Can I use an iPod Shuffle in my new 08 RS4?.........
Dealer says it's not an option. Is there a way to use one of these things? I got a shuffle for Christmas and can still bring it back for another model or can I get an adapter?
Thanks

The car comes with either a cd changer or a iPod adapter
I would exchange the shuffle for a nano or a regular iPod no matter what. The iTunes is a great way to organize one songs.
Do some searching and you will find using the memory cards slots is a better way to go than the iPod because there is no data displayed on the screen about artist and track. Whereas with the SD cards you retain that info.
I bought a Nano with the hopes of using it in my RS (before I bought the RS) but just got some software that converted all the songs to play on the SD cards and I am happy.

I had no choice, Car I found in stock had an iPod adapter
I have never owned or do I want an iPod. After some playing around I learned how to put my CD's on the SD card. That is so much better than a changer, No waiting for CD's to switch and stuff

Re: I ordered a cd changer so I am out of luck........
enfig.com has some ipod adapter options. i use the blitzsafe VW/M-LINK1 V.3A. you remove the cd changer and plug the blitzsafe in its place. literally takes 5 mins to do (make sure to order the changer removal tool also found on their site). no control from the headunit, but that's what i prefer. for anyone that uses an ipod having to deal with sd cards is ridiculous for a variety of reasons (storage limit, need for a sd card reader, duplicating effort if you already have an ipod). i think they also have an adapter that provide rca inputs in case you have a mp3 player other than the ipod. also, my opinion of the audi ipod interface is that it's complete **** (can't control the ipod directly, limited to playlists or setting what you want to play before connecting). i like to change my music often so i need control from the ipod directly.
