Default This cannot be normal.. (DRC related)

Jacked up the car this am to take off the spacers the dealer claimed were causing the horrible chatter I was experiencing in hard turns (just had a DRC replacement) and found a bolt without a nut attached on both the left and righ spring perches. The car has been in 2x for the chatter/clunk issue after the DRC was replaced and they told me nothing was wrong. WTF, someone please tell me this is normal or I am going to lose my mind on the dealer tommorrow morning.

looks to me that the noise is coming from the perch lifting. the damage o the bolt could be what your hearing.

Default IIRC that stud is used to hold a retaining clip that prevents the top of the strut from dropping

When the 3 16mm bolts are removed.

I dont' think that's the source of your issues.

Default It is normal, the stud has a retaining clip on it from the factory to hold the

top suspension plate during install, according to Bentley this clip does not have to be replaced... Mine looks the same.

Default The Direzza are wide.... so the wheel is a 23 offset and a really tight fit!

I had to remove the front liner screw and I rolled the inside lip of the fender at the screw location just a touch to move the screw flange out of the way, really did not need to, as it turns out, and trimmed the rear liner and glued it tight to the rear fender, this I had to do with the ride height that I have (25").

No rubbing at all, several track days and auto-x's to test it out.

Default Do you hear it over bumps or only cornering? Check for top strut stud hitting

sheet metal on compression. I have this problem with both stock and aftermarket struts. You need to remove the strut to verify this.

Default I hear it more while cornering...

it seems to handle stright line bumps ok, but if i hit a sharp bump in a turn i hear a clunk and actually feel a vibration in the steering wheel. If i'm going at it fairly hard i get the wheel skip/chatter issue and can get the esp light lit. Not full out by any means maybe 6-7/10's cornering.

I'm on the verge of ripping out the drc for stasis sl's and i guess i'm kinda hoping that will solve everything. If it doesnt i'm not sure what to try next.

Oh and removing the spacers had no effect so thats one more thing off the checklist.
