Default Car was totalled yesterday. :(

Was parked on the street at a friends house last night. I was the last car parked, and a drunk driver plowed right into the RS4. They hit the rear driver side and most of the drivers side of the car up to the front fender. They must have been going very fast, the car was badly damaged. The driver was taken to hospital and charged. He was driving a large SUV, so that made it much worse. Insurance called me today to tell me its a write off.

Im really pissed off!!!!!!!!!!
Luckily I have another car for now, which has one more year on its lease. So Im going to wait a year to get another car. Perhaps another slightly used RS4 if I can find one when Im in the market.

Default I was watching 60 minutes last night about drunk drivers...

it was very interesting. There is a lawyer in NY that is now charge drunk drivers with heavy jail sentences if they kill someone. I think this is good too see since drinking and driving is not dealt harshly enough. Some guy drove drunk and then had a head on with a limo coming back from a wedding. 2 people, 1 7 year old kid and driver where killed. The drunk driver was then eventually convicted for murder and sentenced to 18 years.

Did anyone see this.

Default At least only the driver was hurt. I was upstairs, and his neighbour came to tell me he news....

My brother is a attorney, and we are planning to go after him. Waiting to get the final police report.
He was driving a Escalade.

Default I hear RS4's of our vintage are now worth $138k

vintage collectors item rare (sound like an ebay ad?)

Are they going to let you part out the car? Can I get the inerior trim pieces from you?

Whata total assmunch, hope you guys throw the book at him. Bright side, you can get an insurance settlement and go get a brand new '08 RS4, knowing what you know now, and do some cool stuff that you always wished you had tried earlier. I know of a black on black ti package RS4 with exclusive interior in Washington state for sale at dealers, $66k list now.

The car is at the insurance company lot, so not sure if I can take a trim piece, but I let you know.
