Carbon Issues with UK Cars?
Hello All,
I'm a current E92 M3 owner in Texas who is relocating to Scotland. I shopped for an RS4 two years ago but was ultimately scared off by the carbon buildup issues. With the weather in Scotland much less condusive to rwd cars, I'm back in the market for an RS4.
At one time I thought it was theorized that the European cars didn't have the same carbon buildup issues due to higher RON fuel and a different engine calibration... Does anyone know if that is still the thought, or are they seeing the same issues?

My car runs on 98RON down here in NZ, and my car had lost 20wkw with only 33kms on the clock.
So yes, same problem.
Below is before and after carbon clean (did also have a stuck airbox flap)
