Hitting those patches of dry concrete sideways can not be good

Default I notice these two things

1. the RS4 car doesn't seem well balanced; not sure if that's the car's fault or the driver's fault... Tiff had quite a difficult time in the drift test with the M3 CS.

2. the driver, unbalanced as he may find himself at the dynamic limit, DEFINITELY has a firm grasp on where the ultimate bad place is; each time you see him get to a point that makes you squint and hold your breath, the car comes completely to control-- no over corrections, just, whooomp... 'I meant to do that!'

Default It has to do with AWD and traction then balance.

In an M3 (or RWD for the matter) it's easier to consistantly lose traction. I.E. Burn outs are way easier to do in an RWD vehicle than an AWD vehicle. Also add in the fact that the car kept hitting dry patches, or patches with less water, and the car would gain more grip.

Default I guess my observation was more like this

The other cars seemed to be able to get sideways and maintain it better than the RS4.

Whether this was a driver difference or a car difference is imposible to tell from the video.

Except that the driver seemed to have VERY good feel for balance when the car got to the point of getting in really big trouble. One point for the driver.

...Except that the car was so over-sideways going in, it looked like the driver constantly over-cooked it, missing the opportunity for an elegant maneuver. One point against the driver.

...Maybe.

I wonder if this car is so heavy, and the rear wheel bias makes it damn hard to pull off an elegant maneuver, period ?

I haven't yet been fortunate enough to find enough slippy-maybe to form an observation from personal experience, so this is all just conjecture at this point.
