clunking when going over bumps/turning wheel hard
wanted to see if anyone else experienced this before i started to panic...
i distinctly remember being very impressed with the car when i first got it, concerning how sturdy it felt driving on poor roads
i have since put about 6k miles on it and had the steering rack replaced (leak in it). i dont know if its been in my head, but lately when i turn the wheel fully either way (mostly to pull out of driveway) it feels like the car is slipping over icecubes
and further, when i go over bumps, whether fast or slow, it kinda feels a bit clunky...hard to describe it but there is a clunking sound that im pretty sure wasnt there originally.
anyone else care to comment?

Check the shocks for leakage (stain on them) - if so, congrats - you have DRC failure like
many of us RS6 owners. But these are some of the symptoms ... quirky over bumps, car kind of shifts position ... clunking noise ... harsh ride ... very bouncy

thanks for heads up...wat are the possible outcomes?
...have heard of this DRC issue before...hope im not a victim
if i am though, what does that entail...what needs to be swapped out, and in your experience, once it was fixed did it persist?

Hopefully it's not that ... but if it is, the faulty shock(s) will need to
be replaced, as will the central valve(s)/ accumulator(s). In the case of the RS6, many owners, including myself, feel that the performance is inferior to the factory set-up; more dive, more body roll, less sure-footed.
