Hi Guys & Gals,

Do any of you have the stasis coil-overs on your cars? I have had them on my 08 RS4 for 2 years and I keep hearing clunking or knocking when I go over a bumpy road, as if something is loose. I've had them check and they say nothing is loose. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your input.

Control arm bushings go bad. About 20,000 miles service life is not uncommon. All four upper control arms were warranty-replaced on my car at 25K miles. When I brought it into the shop for clunking, I was convinced it was the DRC, but no. Control arms fixed the clunking.

Recently, some guys have reported that just the bushings can be replaced and not the entire control arm which is more $$$.

This is probably old news, but I'll post anyways. :-) The Stasis Motorsports need rebuilding every two years, but the SLs do not. Original posted never mentioned which he had?

If your not gonna make the RS into a track car, the SL's are more than great for DDing. I plan to go this route myself one day. Plus is, as mentioned, no rebuild needed, plus the jackets arn't made of alum, which will corrode over time.

I had the same problem but it was the big rubber mounts on top of the strut. I replaced them and all was fine. Stasis had information about this. Call them.
