Default Considering buying RS4

Is this a fair price for the car? $48,900 with 23K on it. No Ti package or Carbon fiber trim, otherwise loaded and it has snows on it right now. I drove it and it seems very solid. I test drove another one with 29K on it and it definitely seemed more "used."

Thank you.

Reasonable price for a 2008 model. You should be able to negotiate down a little. Edmunds gives a private party sale price of 47100 and a dealer retail price of 50500

I think that is a bit high. Mine was an 07 loaded with carbon for 44,5k. It had 24k miles. You should be able to get that down a couple grand in my opinion.

I just picked up my 07 RS4 back in Dec, and if I saw a CPO model with those miles, and at that price here in the Northeast, I would have jumped on it. You probably still have a little wiggle room to negotiate further. I'd use the fact that you need to buy tires for the summer as a starting point.

Prices for the RS's dipped early last year, but when I was looking, unless I wanted a west coast car, or a Texas car (I'm very picky, so flying to multiple places checking out cars would have been too expensive, and time consuming), the pickings were very slim, and much more expensive here.

Id say look at what else is in your area, and use that as a starting point. Different regions due have different pricing scales, so its hard to judge.

I agree, seems a bit high. I got mine with 3,900 miles on it with titanium package for that price. Keep your eyes open and negotiate the price if you can. Autotrader has an option to send alerts to your email when new listings are posted, so perhaps that might help you out. Good luck with the search!

Thanks. right now they will not budge on price even if I come up and write them a check. I have not really watched the prices for very long so taking some time to do research is not a bad thing for me. If they can get the price good for them and for you RS4 owners out there.
