crappy dealers - what to do?
so i brought the car to a dealer i thought was decent to have my suspension checked today.
upon getting there the service guy starts writing down the VIN and he drops his HEAVY *** metal pen right on my hood! moron
then i asked for the car NOT to be washed.. and can you guess when i got there the car was washed after i instructed not to?
i pretty much wasted a day with them as they claim the suspension is fine and ALL the noises and creaks inside i hear are also fine they said.
there are only like 2-3 dealers in my state and i'm out of options. all i know is i hear this clunk noise from the front suspension area when i hit certain bumps and the steering doesn't feel as crisp as it could be.
the dealer kept saying it's the way the car was made with its stiff suspension.. just an excuse for them imo..

A familiar story re Audi Dealers...
good luck, very few of them are any different from your typical Hyundai dealer. Even VW dealers seem to have their act together better, in my experience. There's nothing worse than arrogant ineptitude.
There's never anything wrong until the 3rd time.

I've had similar experience with the $tealer...
And that knock you are describing...I have that too.
Then again, I am on a newly replaced DRC suspension, which is leaking even though it was replaced...200miles ago!
I need a DRC replacement more often than I need to gas up...

Here is the best thing to do. Take an afternoon and look for all the rattles yourself.
Hunt them down and apply felt to them This the only thing that the dealer is going to do and you'll end up doing a better job. As far as the suspension, just give up on the DRc and get another suspension out of your pocket. You'll get over the money soon enough and save a lot of aggravation. The drc is going to keep breaking until you get rid of it.

Audi frowns on frivolous repairs for interior squeaks...
and we know the answer re DRC.
Dealers can't just load up on the warranty claims and then bill Audi. It doesn't work that way. Warranty work has to be justified, and Audi's a tougher sell on that than most.

Sad, but true
I love my RS4. When it is good, it is an awesome machine. Mine is often not good.
As it is, I expect to be "leaving the tribe" very soon. AoA and I are in discussions at this time. I will update once we come to an agreement.

Re: Sad, but true
Who could blame you. I'd get out too if my car was that probelmatic from the get go.
Best of luck to you thru this.
P.S. You mean you didn't bother to fix the 2k miles carbon buildup problem by merely switching to a different oil? wink-nod-wink : )
