For crying out loud, NOW I'm REALLY confused... Radio/Nav issues again:
Ok.. So I thought I had it figured out that our radio/Nav is RNS-E and not MMI.
Yet in the March 2006 North American Launch Information booklet posted on here a while back, on page 20, it states:
"Optional Audi Navigation Plus offers the following:
-MMI control logic for radio functions . . ."
What the hell does that mean????
For the purposes of iPod integration, do we have MMI or not? What the hell does "MMI control logic for radio functions mean", some half way thing not full MMI ?

Sigh.. I think its a "different" MMI system.. great.. but they keep talking about a retrofit kit
in the future for the upcoming
ipod interface. They claim not for the A4 family, but maybe they mean for the nonNav A4 family.

You know, I would be happy with a cable that just connected to my ipod to the stereo...
Obviously integrated controls would be awesome, but failing that, just a simple 3.5mm head phone jack would have been fine.
Is there a spare auxiliary input on the RNS-E unit that can be connected to the headphone jack of the ipod ? I just want to be able to put my ipod in the glove box and play music...
