Default Dead key fob. Anyone else experience this?

A lifespan of less than 3 years seems pretty short to me. Hell my Ford Probe key fob lasted 11 years.

Dead battery? or just dead all together? If it's just the battery it doesn't seem that far fetched.

I can still start the car, but the remote functions for the doors and such are not working.

Default Make sure it just doesn't have to be reconnected to the car...

Turn the key to the on position, wait 10 seconds, remove the key and try it again.

I usually have the door closed when I do this, I'm not sure if that makes a difference though.

Default As a kid I loved everything about that car, except for its name. Not so good, marketing team.

I had one die on me, covered under warranty, dealer order a pair of replacements and paired to car ('06 S4).

Default Had a professor in college...

during a lecture one day he stops writing on the blackboard, turns to us, and says "would you let your daughter drive something called a Probe? I didn't think so."

And then he carried on.

Hmmm, my dealership said they're only covered for the first 90 days...I'm so not surprised..
