Diagnostic tool for B7 RS4
Hi guys
I have a 2008 Audi RS4 Avant and I'm looking for a diagnostic tool to inspect and clear DTC errors. Preferable a solution with PC software or may even go for a iPhone solution - if recommended.
I just see so many different products out there and don't really know what to go for. Price is an option so I'm going for a below $100 solution.
Any good suggestions?

Can't help on the below $100 bit (unless you can find one second hand), but I would recommend Ross-Tech's VCDS (aka VAG-COM).
Very handy tool for all things diagnostics and great support from Ross-Tech if you need it.

If you have a RS4 one should be able to afford a Ross Tech. I am not sure the other units will be able to program the car - nor do they have the support VAG_COM has.

Thanks for the comments. I think my $100 comment came out wrong. Sure I can spend more than 100 bucks. It's just that I browsed the net and found many diagnostic tools in the $30 to $100 range and thought this is what you have to pay, but I guess these are low-budget solutions are poor choices.
Disregard my $100 comment, please.
I have looked at Ross VCDS on their web site, but found no explicit indication that it supports RS4 B7. Can you confirm this? I need a cable as well, and found the USB VAG CAN Commander 5.1 OBD2 II Diagnostic Tool Cable. Will this work or can you recommend a compatible cable?
Thanks

I use the Ross tech "HEX+CAN" which I bought second hand. Not sure what
the latest version of mine is called. It's honestly pretty amazing. Now I can diagnose
and make repairs without the dealer. If I know it's a none CPO thing I can just find
a good Indy and save money on repairs.
