Painters tape doesn't leave a lot and it's not hard to get off, I've heard Racers leaves more.....
residue, and I'm not sure how hard it is to get off.
I just wrapped my car in paintes tape and it came right off without much residue at all.

Thanks - hoping you were online...I may be driving from SF to Portland...does the tape
protect pretty well? Any areas that you didn't tape that you wish you had? I will probably mirror your job....

I don't think I left any thing uncovered.....
You can still get a rock chip if you get hit hard, so just keep your distance from the car in front of you, don't follow any big trucks, and just be alert.

Painter's tape works the best. On the rare occasions that I've had residue (from other types of tape), I've used baby oil to get it off. I'm not sure if that was the best way (i.e. paint friendly) to remove the residue, but it came off in an instant. Luckily, though, those residue days are over w/ the painter's tape.
