Downward pricing pressure from M3/C63 on RS4s?
Do you think the RS4 will see this and if so when?
I've been looking for a preowned RS4 and would like to avoid immediately taking a hit when BMW and MB release their cars.

They're all gonna be priced pretty much the same.
Add 10-15k in options to BMW and MB base prices like all their other cars and you get right where the RS4 is.
Why are you concerned about taking a hit on an already used car? Typically the biggest hit is when you buy new.

I have been wondering about the same thing. There may quite a few Rs4s traded in on these cars
those trades could bring down the price some. The question is how much. If there is a like 5k in a couple of months than it would be worth the wait. When are these cars being delivered?

Exactly.. C63's are scheduled to be delivered around April.. not sure re: M3
Some people always want the latest and greatest no matter what and would probably trade in their RS4.
From what I hear more than likely.. they'll be back!

M3 will NOT be a bargain (or anywhere near the quoted $55K)
I went through this with the introduction of the E46 M3...the cars were AT LEAST $10K higher than the "base MSRP" that BMW quoted.
I walked in wanting a base M3, which was stickered at $57K and change, added a couple of options, it was $63K, + tax, license, etc.
With these new ones, they WILL be charging a premium and of course, options add to the price.
I'd bet the real transaction prices will be closer to $67K. Time will tell.
However, if I had it to do over again, and the M3 was $67K< I'd probably bite too.

Doesn't really matter much to this discussion. Just the fact that they are coming out means people
here with the new car itch may trade in their RS4 and the availability of those RS4s may drive down the price.

RS4 used market
I hope it drives down the prices for low mileage RS4 since it would get me a sweet ride at a nice price :-)
I like the RS4 since it shares many components and same engine in the far more expensive R8 and brakes from the Lambo.
