Dyno'd my RS4 last week

As some of you may have guessed I work on Forza Motorsport 2 for the Xbox360, well as it happens we dyno a lot of cars to create a custom library of sounds for as many of the 300+ cars as we can get our hands on. So as soon as my car neared 1500 miles my day at the dyno was set. We do these recordings at least once a week and all over the world so I wasn't too worried about puting my new monster through the process.
Recording the car takes about 4 hours of dyno time (including cooling periods) with running at 500 or 250 rpm intervals for 30 secs each as well as a bunch of other scenarios.
So to start the day off we did a power pull - our tech asked if I had been driving it hard yet and having just (almost) hit my brake-in miles I hadn't really pushed hard. He stated that we should test again after the session because the car would tune itself for the higher revs as we did the session - sure enough my baby grew up right before my eyes and added an additional 18hp and 14tq. Going from 339.8hp and 266.5tq to 357.7 and 280.4, right were the tech predicted for an Audi based on past experience. For those of you that are into the details this was on a Mustang Dynamometer and the temp in the bay was ~85 degrees. Stock Mugello Blue RS4. Fun times!
I'll post the sound file in the next week or two but for the full experience grab Forza 2 when it hits the shelves for the 360. Sorry for the plug...

interesting!
my old K04 B5 S4 made 323whp on that same exact dyno. (FAME right?) JoshD's monster k04 S4 made 422whp on the same dyno as well...interesting indeed.
Looks like YOUR car is making advertised hp levels.

Yes, FAME is were we do most of our recording sessions. It was pretty nice to get the compliments from the crew on the sound of the RS4 when you consider the exotic metal we bring in there to record.

http://www.forzamotorsport.net/</a

LOL...only 86whp more than the last "RS4" dyno results posted here.
guess what guys, the fvcktard that made that last dyno post probably was watching a B7 S4 being dynoed, not a RS4. The numbers tend to favor that assumption.

Impossible! The RS4 is only supposed to dyno 270 hp...
At least according to someone who saw a car that sorta looked like a RS4 on a dyno once.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2473953.phtml</a
