Default I asked this very same question some time ago ...

with very little help. Basically the responses ranged from the smart-*** "if your name is Gates or Buffet, no problem" to "plan on spending lots of money to get it through customs". All I can say is good luck and man I wish Audi AG would decide to bring the RS4 Avant to the states.

Default Move to Europe

That is probably easiest. Otherwise, you will need to federalize a Euro-spec Avant. It will be expensive and time consuming. Also, consider that the Euro RS4's cost quite a bit more than the US-spec cars and on top of that you must factor in the unfavorable dollar-Euro exchange rate. Guesses have ranged from $130-170K to get an Avant stateside legally.

If you are serious, there are people here who can help you get it done.

Default Don't forget about the poor exchange rate of the US dollar...

An RS4 is 51,825 British pounds or $96,379.95 U.S. Even if it is "only" $30K to federalize the car, that is one expensive RS4. It's a great car, but is it worth the price of two RS4 sedans to have an Avant?

BTW, thanks for the post, $30K is less than I expected.
