ECU flash that is being done by AoA any one know
what they are changing with this flash update?
I called my dealer to see if there are any TSB's or other flagged issues with my car for the 15,000 mile service, other wise I was planning on DYI on this service, he said they needed to flash the ECU and I should bring it in...
I discussed at length the RS and FSI the tech seemed surprised that I had no issues and the car was running strong. According to the tech they have had several here in Denver that have had some misfire and other issues (did not say what)...
I have been on the oil test crew, recruited by Scott and Dyson, and am diligent about UOA'a and 3000 mile oil changes, fuel additives and air filter maintenance. All have been done by DIY except for the 5000 mile service for warranty preservation (still provided my own oil).
Just curious on what might be changing with this ecu update.

I have had them change the oil twice and I am just over 7K. I also had them change the air filter...
this week as I am grasping for straws. They seemed very puzzled as to why I would want to change it so early. Why did you mention the air filter?
I can't tell you why they wanted to reflash the ECU but I ask.

Don't know about the flash, but how are you liking the cat-back? Any noise fatigue yet?
I'd love to get one but afraid the noise will get old... what's been your experience?

I like the Milltek, I have 10,000 miles on it
and it has not grown old or bothersome, no fatigue, no drone, just an awesome sound.
The funny part is on low throttle and under 4K RPM it is really subtle, I have take my bankers and business associates around town, no issues seems like a sporty business car.
When you romp on it you just smile, it transforms... It is a must on this car, you will not regret it at all.

With the UOA we are doing Dyson thought the filter was
a contributing cause of the fuel dilute in these engines. When I changed mine the pre-filter was full of leaves and other debris and the filter was fairly dirty. Helping the motor breathe helps reduce the fuel dilute... seemed to help in my next UOA...
