euro rs4 question

sorry if this has been asked before, but is the euro model rs4 geared the same as the US model? would this be a worthwhile mod since trien to squeeze hp out of this car seems rather difficult, $4000 isnt worth 8 hp and 11tq IMHO. i know this was a popular mod on the e46 m3s

From what I have read, the gear ratios are the same...

I believe the E46 M3 guys upgrade to 3.91 or 4.10, RS4 already has a 4.10 FD

Not sure changing the final drive on a RS4 is necessary.
