Euro-spec stuff for rs4
I've been looking into getting a B7 rs4 but living in the US, I am not to happy about the extra weight our rs4 has been burdened with. Has anyone successfully purchased a Euro-spec one by ordering European deliver? If that isnt possible could you order European delivery and swap the US spec seats with the lighter Euro-spec ones at the factory for example? Or is there a way to order the Euro-spec seats/ steering wheel and other items in the US? Thanks guys

It's more complicated...
You will not be able to easily import an unmodified Euro-spec RS4. You can buy a Euro spec RS4 and go through the federalization process but nobody has done this becasue this route would probably end up doubling the cost of the vehicle.
Alternately, you could buy a US version RS4 and order Euro parts. This would be the easier/cheaper route to take but you may not get all of the weight savings of a fully Euro car. The weight differences are difficult to fully explain - seats, bumpers, and possibly other indeterminate components are all responsible. Euro parts can be had, but expect to have quite a lot invested after changing everything over.
Money might be better spent buying a US version RS4 and working on suspension, changing the down-pipes/exhaust, buying a lighter battery, etc.

It is very expensive and i would just be happy with the car that is given to us with modding it
To get a Euro Spec car in the country will cost at least 50k and you are not allowed to switch anything at the factory as the car you are picking up is US Spec. The seats will not pass through customs. The seats seperatly will cost 10k ceramic brakes about 20k and steering wheek about 1k. Really not worth it.
