Euro steering wheel questions

Euro steering wheel questions
Has anybody succeeded in installing the Euro steering wheel so that all the buttons function properly and so that there are no fault codes, etc? Also:
1) How much does it cost?
2) Where can I order one from?
3) How much effort is involved in installing one? (i.e., time and cost)
4) Any issues with the air bag?
5) Is all of the functionality of the US spec wheel retained? (e.g., volume, mode, scrolling, etc.)
I've scanned some of the previous posts, and all I see is problems, problems, problems. It's not very encouraging.
Thanks in advance for any help and/or insights.

Re: Euro steering wheel questions
I have the EURO wheel installed with full functionality on my RS4 - the buttons on the EURO wheel do not perform the same functions as the US wheel buttons but properly perform the intended function. Never had any lights or issues. Total install time was 30 min. All the problems seem to occur when trying to install the steering wheel into a B6.

1) How much does it cost?
Around $1200-$1500 with the airbag for the air leather. (that's what they were when I got mine)
2) Where can I order one from?
I got mine from Rival Motorsport
3) How much effort is involved in installing one? It's an easy intstall with the proper tools and you can do it yourself so no cost
4) Any issues with the air bag?
There is no way to know 100% if there are issues with any of the airbags people are using. The Euro RS4 one seems like the most logical safe choice, but there is no proof it will work properly or that the A8 one won't.
5) Is all of the functionality of the US spec wheel retained? (e.g., volume, mode, scrolling, etc.)
You lose all of the multifunction controls. All the Euro wheel controls is the trip computer and the S button. After the recoding all the original buttons stop working.

Re: Answers...
Thanks for the responses - they're very helpful. I like the multifunction capabilities of the US spec wheels but am willing to lose them for the Euro wheel.

Re: Are you not receiving any codes at all?
No codes at all - we took the wiring harness off the Euro airbag and swapped it with the US airbag harness - the connector was different with same pinout. We used code 06021 or 06022. I have no fault lights or codes - the sport ,set and +/- buttons all work correctly. Make sure you have a solid ground and check the wiring connection carefully. The connector from the Euro airbag looked as if it was correct but wasn't.
