How many days till someone gets $3K off, and how many days till someone gets one for invoice? I am thinking 3Koff is doable this month... invoice by the end of the year. (Invoice will be quite a feat, do not get me wrong, but I can see people pulling this off.)

I guess $3K off, will be a standard price starting few weeks from now.

Default the RS4 has been in the US for less than 3 weeks.

Default Exactly my point!

Let me make it simpler for you. Car has been available for 3 weeks, it is a limited edition, and most dealers have one car that is unspoken for on the lot.

Most people would think that means paying over MSPR is moronic, paying MSRP is risky.

Default your opinion.

the cars that are available now haven't been available for 3 weeks. ask Der Kimbo.

And THAT is worth some money - no doubt. More for some less for others.

Default why is this surprising? my dealer's are all gone (6-8ish)...

...other dealers are marking up, lotsa 'fake listers' backed out as expected, and now the cars have to be matched up with legit buyers.

anecdotally (which is all we're talking about here with the RS4) same thing happened with M5. 1 dealer here told me it was gonna be 25K over MSRP if i wanted an M. then he kept calling me saying the 'black one' is still around, if you're interested.

Default I'll tell you what, I talked to 6 dealers within 200 miles of me, only 1 has one on the lot

So where are you? Location matters here. Maybe in the middle of nowhere, but on the east coast (northeast to be exact) there's no way you're getting less than MSRP at this time, certainly nothing significantly less (like bob's $500 is not what i'm talking about)...
