Default A few pics from my trip to Yellowstone & Grand Teton NP over the weekend.

Put 960 miles on the car over the weekend so it is officially broken in now! I had 1260 on it when we left. We drove to Island Park on Friday, spent Sat in Yellowstone & stayed at the Jackson Lake Lodge. Sunday was in Grand Teton NP and Jackson & them home to Salt Lake City.

2 notable stories....on the road from Freedom WY to Soda Springs (one of the best road in the US, see map below) I was really hauling. I came around a corner at about 70 mph in 3rd gear accelerating HARD and there were about 10 Harley dudes on the side of the road taking a rest in the shade. I passed them and then upshifted to 4th and flew down a straight & then downshifted to 3rd & ripped around the next corner.

When we got to Soda Springs, I was at the gas station filling up. The Harley dudes rolled by and one of them pulled in. He parked by my car & I thought he was gonna kick my *** for doing a fly by (NEGATIVE GHOST RIDER - THE PATTERN IS FULL). He said "What the hell is in that thing? That is the best sounding car I have ever heard!" We chatted for a bit and he rolled off giving props to German muscle.

2nd story..... before we got to Soda Springs we hit a traffic jam in Henry ID and got stuck for 15+ minutes. I crested a hill about 70+ mph and the road was filled with a few hundred sheep! I braked hard but wasn't close to hitting them. I scared my wife and the coyboy on his horse pretty bad though. It took him & the dogs a while to get the sheep outta the way so we could get by & then we were off. Other than that, enjoy some pics. NOTE: I am not a good photographer so flame away.

If you've never driven this road from Freedom WY to Soda Springs, ID, you must do it. Rarely traveled and full of banked curves, hills, scenery and flat out sheer driving pleasure.

How do you like the RS4 compared to your old Laser avant?

Default Hey..I've been on that road!

But it was a long time ago in a Ford Tempo Diesel. 58 was its top speed as well as its MPG, so I didn't have as much fun as you. BTW the photos are nice. Like the car color too.
