Field Tests by Audi (OBD)
Got a letter from Audi a few weeks ago asking if, for $100, I would let an Audi Tech come to my home or business to plug into the OBD port and download some data. I answered the letter and the Audi Tech is coming by my office in the morning, with my check, to plug in.
Anyone else do this yet?

Hmmm ...
I wonder what they're looking for? Red flags are going off in my head. Audi gets to look at OBD during every scheduled services (5K miles, 15K miles ... etc). So why are they coming by to conduct field tests, which BTW is not a test but rather just data collection.

Re: Field Data Collectionby Audi (OBD)
Data collection, of course. No tests. He explained it as monitoring emissions, etc. I will report back tomorrow after the tech does his thing.

Hmmm again, emissions ...
I'm not sure much can be monitored except O2 sensor lambda values. That would tell them how rich/lean the engine is running. Unless they have some hidden data collection blocks, they would only be able to read out the long term adaptations.
You might ask him what he's looking for when the tech comes by.

Re: What lawsuits?
I can't find the thread, maybe it was just my imagination. A few people on Fourtitude were saying that the RS4 was putting out way less power on average than it was supposed to. I suspect that this is mostly due to improper/careless break-in or dynos trying to make sense of the rear bias.
