Well, kinda. Wondering what it would look like if I were to replace the black strips with the chrome ones off my existing panel. They'll mesh in with the interior, V8 and RS4 badges, and my winter wheels (which are the stock non Ti ones).

Has anyone attempted to take them out? Looks like they can just pop off.

Would be interesting to see what they look like if I were to paint them body color too. What i might do is for S&Gs wrap/mask them with the blue painter masking tape (which is not that far off from Sprint Blue!) Not to keep it obviously, just to check what it would be like to have it in body color. Anyone colored the strips in body color (Team Imola, you seem the most obvious candidate ;-o)

Default No, it's the other way around

Leave panel black as is, 'mod' just the tiny horizontal strips.

Just so long as the mod doesn't add another line to that bandwidth-hogging sig of yours

I'm projecting a bit. I miss my E39 and reading your encyclopedia of mods digs a tad.

Default See sig pic for Ti filler on sprint blue

I like the all black better than the chrome strips, but I am blacking out all chrome/silver trim on the car anyways. Just a matter of taste, they both look good.
