Default First mod is inbound, and strange suspension noise.

Well I backed the car into a bollard on the way home from quattro de Mayo (dumbass!). Just got the estimate done, and they're planning on replacing the bumper as well as the left exhaust. I'm planning on upgrading instead of getting another $639 OEM exhaust assembly; Milltek resonated non-valved is in the lead so far. I'd like to get away from the on/off sport mode throttle map.

Also, I've noticed a speed-dependent tapping or clicking sound that occurs whenever the car is in a turn with decent body lean. The noise emanates from the side that is taking the weight (i.e., driver's side during a right-hand turn). The dealer couldn't find anything wrong with the car, and just said to let them know if the noise gets worse. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? A cursory S of TFA didn't reveal anything exactly like this. Thanks.

Default It is the fluid in the ............................

DRC as it moves through a valve in the system. I found it almost annoying while on the Dragon. My car seems to make a much louder noise in a right turn and I can hear it on the driver's side.

Default Really?

It taps or clicks continuously throughout the turn, and the noise frequency is directly dependent on speed. That's what you heard, too? That'd be a relief if so. Thanks.

Default Who'd you take it to? Let me guess... the dealer?

At least from the pics it doesn't look like you need a whole rear valance. Interesting...

Default Yep.

Unfortunately I don't really trust anyone else in the area to diagnose potential DRC trouble (though it now sounds like everything is ok). I have no problem with them replacing the bumper; at least that way I'll have less to worry about workmanship wise.

Default Just inquiring. The dealer by me only does "touch up" work so I've been forced to look elsewhere.

Just surprised that they require the whole thing to be replaced. I'm sure it's just a money issue. Anyway, good luck. Guess I'll have a better idea what mines going to cost this Thursday. Fun fun!

Default Yeah, good luck with yours, too.

The service writer said Audi recommends replacing the bumper since they're so hard to work on or whatever.

Default Just installed the Milltek resonated non-valved, you'll love it.

Sounds great, no more messing around with the S button. Not too loud, no droning whatsoever. Sucks that you damaged the bumper.

Default I had the same suspension problem...I have the solution

The pressure in the valves for the hydraulic suspension was low and not being held at the proper level of minimum 15 bars. They had to replace both valves...problem went away. It sounded like I had tools in the trunk. Push on your dealer to do this under warranty...it definitely is covered.

So sorry to hear about the booboo!
