Hello-

My name is John. Just bought an RS4 today. Love
it so far (23 miles driven) but have a lot of owners manual studying to do to understand all the buttons.

My first question is is the car detuned for a while and any break in tips or oil tips?

Thank you
John

Default The car is not detuned, but it is extremely tight right now and will loosen up for the next few

hundred miles. By 1500 miles it will feel entirely different.

One thing to consider - if a break-in didn't matter, the engineers would not have had the technical writers place instructions in the manual. Most new owners want to take their cars out to see what they can do, and it's a bit of a killjoy to ask them to use restraint. So you know that if this wasn't required, they would have much rather skipped the entire topic;-)

Default Congrats! :)

Here's a link to a post on one break in method. I was happy to follow these guidelines because it entails having some fun!

https://forums.audiworld.com/rs4b7/msgs/20760.phtml</a

Thank you all. I can't believe what a friggen
nice car it is. I guess I will get over it in a while but it handles like a dream

I think I want to get some 18" wheels? Any
ideas from the veterans around here

I will try not to ask dumb questions and use the
search but at the moment I am too excited about
getting the damn thing I need some time

Thanks for all the comments and please if you have any more advise about if the $650 Audi Care is good, best radar detector that installs really clean, wheels, tires , opinions on if the TPMS can actually tell you the pressure or is it only a light, anyone have a CD disc changer in the trunk

ETC ETC... It is the Gray one with black by the
way and I like it A LOOOOT

Default ^^^ Troof.

Looks for ELEVENS's V1 hardwire install--really easy and takes just a couple of minutes. TPMS will let you know when a tire is low compared to the rest. It doesn't tell you the pressure of the tires, unfortunately.
