Default First week.....2x EPC light ..... a little rambling

picked up car last friday and been back to dealer 2x now for EPC light. Hopefully diagnosed today with Audi techs in Detroit as an actuator flap motor or something like that in intake manifold. Part coming in Tuesday. Also had a cut sidewall on right rear that I noticed 1 hr after delivery. The dealer is Don Rosen and they have been above and beyond in trying to get this rectified. **** happens and they are trying their best. It is not like it is a Dodge slant 6 or something like that. They even gave me the sales manager demo 1 day as a loaner. also, they threw me a cargo net after I said that my s4 had one and RS4 had the hooks, but no net. Also, where's the medical emergency kit - I had one in S4 and they said that is discontinued in RS4 ? I got it in my $50k S4, can't do it in rs4? Geez? A $15 cargo net and a $50 medical emergency kit, can't spare it in $75K car??? I guess Audi will have a very profitable year.

Any issues with the mirrors, anybody had one broken yet since they don't fold in ? how much $?

"Sport" is twitchy , but not as sensitive as I thought it would be. Basically the RS4 is like driving an F-14 ! I didn't think that 80 more hp would be this much faster, but it is worth it. Glad didn't get the S5.

Default similar for me

You're my twin. I also came out of an '04 S4, and think the cars are totally different. I told the dealer the day after pick up they had forgotten the cargo net. I found out it's no longer standard equipment. It's a $225 or so dealer installed option (not $15). The good news is that it's easy to get upset about something at Audi, and make them feel bad, which you did. I also got my net for free and I don't even remember why. Do you already know you'll be paying for scheduled maintenance? Scratched a mirror but haven't replaced it.

The good news is that it's really a great car. I have 20 K miles on it and have loved every one of them. Enjoy!

H pipe going in next week.

Default Re: someone ripped off your first aid kit.

All 2008 Audis are first aid kit free. Part of cost cutting. We ordered a ton of standard first aid kits and give them out at delivery.
