Default Found something odd, need help immediately or sooner...

So i'm hardwiring my shiny new Passport 9500 and right above the mirror I find a flappy thing on a hinge, looks kinda like a miniature sunvisor. I flipped it back and forth a few times and eventially lost interest but now it haunts me that I don't know its true purpose. Can anyone part with this information or is it need to know?

No way. Who cant handle the light coming through that space??? Is this the official car of albinos?

I'm starting to think that it's clearly a very small ironing board... now I just have to find the little iron.

Clip your very small sunglasses to it using a very small sunglass clip.

VAG cars have had that nice little piece of engineering for years! My 1998 Passat had it.

Yup, little "sunvisor". Always have mine in the down position. Nice feature.

Default Need help immediately? For a sun visor?

No offense man, I'm sure everyone wants to help an Audi brother out, but was this really urgent?

By the way...I dispute the sun visor theory. I believe that it is an airfoil/spoiler designed to reverse the flow of air that enters the vehicle as the sunroof is being opened to prevent hair tussling. LOL

On a serious note, it sure is cool finding a new feature on the car after owning it for a bit. I was excited when I learned I could program my key fob to have all the windows go down with one touch.

Hope you enjoy the car and find new things to excite you for a long time to come.

Default On the subject of finding new features...

...I'm embarrased to say it was just last month (after about a year of ownership) that I just realized there's key lock "hidden" away under the trunk handle.

Had a dead battery & needed to climb through the rear seats to open the trunk using the "oh, **** someone locked me in the trunk handle-thingy".

That evening I read the owners manual cover to cover.

If anyone has any questions about trunk access, feel free to send me an email.
