FWIW: RS4/M3/C63 by the numbers...>
After reading the thread regarding how often you see RS4s in the wild, I was curious just how many there are here in Massachusetts. I see them on a semi-regular basis in the Boston area. Turns out there are a total of 83 RS4s registered in MA at the moment. That's 2007 & 2008 models. By contrast, there are 170 M3s registered ('08-09s.) Shockingly, there are only 13 C63s registered in the state(also '08-09.)
Obviously, every state will be different but it gives you an idea of what the overall numbers look like.

thanks...
extrapolating the M3 numbers based on population that equates to ~8000 in the US...
which is suprising since the car has only been on sale ~9 months and the state of the economy...
btw: how do you find these numbers?
how many RS4's in PA?

That's a valid point, however...
I believe most who can afford a $60K car are not too affected by the current economic times. How much do you think the average C63 buyer makes annually? I'd say most make enough to not have to worry the economy too much.
I totally agree though, the RS4 has been out much longer.

what's surprising is...
that 15 times as many M3's as C63's, and the M3 has been on sale only 50% longer (9 vs 6 months)
and the M3 costs more, since you need to add options to get it equipped like the C63...
