FYI: Warranty denied on an S4 with coilovers...
My vehicle was repaired three months ago in Michigan by Audi and at that time they removed the steering rack and the steering pump. The day after I picked it up one of the lines to the pump they installed disconnected and let loose the PS fluid everywhere. I had it fixed at an independent shop due to it happening on a weekend and Audi not being open. They reimbursed me that expense as they clearly did not install the new lines correctly for them to fail.
Lately I have noted a light clunking noise when 3/4 turn in low speed reverse in parking lots. Also it occurs when starting off hard in 1st gear driving straight ahead. I had a shop inspect all coilover components and everything is tight and secure. Due to the terrible install already noted of the power steering components it was suggested I have these inspected by Audi to make sure they didn't leave the rack loose as well.
Audi of Lexington, KY refuses to even inspect the car due to it being lowered and I was advised Audi of America will not reimburse them regardless of the findings. They were good enough to at least put it in writing. I now have to take it to an independent shop and if they find it is the steering I will have to pay out of pocket and then file complaint with Audi...of course I dont have the time for that.
Just a reminder that we have to pay to play and for all those who sight the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act it really isnt very helpful. Same thing for my old car that had the tranny blow. Audi of Lexington refused to even inspect it for warranty purpose and wanted 5 grand for a new one.

but but but....Stasis is more bettar than DRC!!1!!!1!
sheesh man, way to pile on the bad news. you're absolutely right though, people never think about the 'pay to play' perspective. I admire your refraining from pissing and moaning, as most people in your position probably would do.

Very dealer dependent. Similar occurance to a full stage three that was done on my
neighbors B7 2.7 - by Ed Carroll here in Fort Collins. Went to Prestige and they took care of him with out treating him bad.

Meh, what does pissing and moaning accomplish right?
I plan on following the recommendations of the Fair Trade Commission in that I have written refusal from Audi and now I will have the car inspected by a certified third party and will collect written statements from the third party on what has failed and their opinion as to why. If the part that has failed is not related to the coilovers I will attempt to arbitrate and will file suit if necessary. If it's related to the coilovers I'll happily pay the bill and only file a complaint that Audi refused to follow the law and not attempt to diagnose the problem.

No doubt. I had a dealership in Florida tell me...
that they would deny any warranty claims on a car that had the Audi Collection exhaust on it and they would refuse to even put a lowered car on their hoists as they would not be responsible for damaging it. I only had a stock car at the time so it didnt matter but I was new to modding Audi cars and just wanted their advice. I was a little floored by their response.

I agree. Just had my power steering pump replaced in March followed by my steering rack in April...
And my complete suspension is far from being stock.
You have a ****ty dealer... Time to move bro!
