Going in for EPC light ......again !
This is probably the 4x. To save some of you from going to the manual, it stands for Engine Power Control and is an electronics monitor. I have had this light on since day 1. Dealer changed out the flap motor in the intake manifold at about 750 miles and that solved the problem to about 5000 miles. This was relatively major surgery and they were in contact with A of A. Have 5200 miles now and has come on 2x in the last 2 weeks or so.
going in next week to dealer with a "critical alert" open up to Auburn Hills (A of A) to try and solve once and for all.
I had requested in writing an indemnifaction letter to say that I was not responsible for any engine damage while driving with the light on. Last time at dealer, they just kinda said it was an sensitive sensor. I truly think it is and have not had any power or stumble issues with the car at all. it is just a stubborn light.
we'll see... anyone else have this light come on?

There is no flap motor in the intake manifold
There is, however, a vacuum actuated flap, that controls the high rpm manifold change over.
If you are still having issues with this flap, then have the dealer check the manifold vacuum line. There was a very early TSB on this.
Condition
MIL on with DTC P2015 and/or P2020 in the ECM memory.

Possible cause is a vacuum leak at the vacuum supply hose fitting for the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve N316. The vacuum supply hose fitting is located underneath the center of the intake manifold.

My dealer wouldn't even check out the TSB b/c I didn't have a CEL...
They told me they would do it, but if they didn't find anything I would have to pay for the labor.
They know there is something wrong, but aren't being very helpful.
I'm going to be checking it out myself in a few weeks after my lift arrives and I start on some other projects.

Thanks, yes, it is what you said. I brought up this TSB last time and dealer (and AofA) said
it was for 06s and 07s. Maybe they'll give this a shot this time on an 08. Thanks.

Had EPC today again and had power loss at 6500 rpms Registered complaint
with A of A, contacted lemon attorney and left message with GM of dealership. Going in Monday for the last time as far as I am concerned. this wioll be 5th time for the problem. PA lemon law states 3x - either they fix it or buy it back. I can not spend 1/2 my life at dealership
Dealer has been very nice/supportive and have treated me well, but having spent $80k on car, I want $80 k worth of performance.
