Default Going to look at an RS4 tomorrow and have some questions:

Its Avus/Silver Interior Premium, Carbon Fiber and Rear side airbags
The car is Brand new and they are asking 73k for it. The thing is the car has been on their lot for 6 months and im sure since its an 07' they are trying to push it out of there. Last time i went once i asked to see it he said i will take 1500 off the sticker price. Is there any way i can get him in the high 60's or am i pushing it a little.

Seems like you're pushing it, but low ball them and see what you can negotiate.

Default I think you can easily get $3,000 off

I would not be surprised if you could get $4,500 off as the '08s are starting to roll in. Don't settle for less than $3,000 off and push for $4,500. I would bet you deal somewhere between those posts.

Default One fine car...don 't let it get away from you...

as you will have no regrets. If you can beat down the price, it is because the car has been "on the lot" for 6 months and the 08s are nigh.

Default I entirely agree. I don't comment on what I paid for my three Audi's, all

of which were sold order/spec built, but this is easily in the range of the obtainable, IMO.

Be firm, but civil. Ultimately, they are just cars, and a reasonable dealer wants to close.

Hope it works out for you, and be sure to read the breakin and vary rpm's if you drive it back to NY. Also brake bedding runs and compression breaking, which IMO will seat the rings more quickly and minimize oil consumption, based entirely on my own experience and no specific claimed expertise.

Default Re: I am also going to look at a Black/Black same options 12k miles for 64k.

I ordered mine and got 2K off MSRP back in Aprl for a June Delivery (2007 model). I got lucky since a friend of mine bought her stable of Audi's from the same dealer, naturally I bought mine from the same salesperson and he gave me a break. In Bay Area there aren't too many Audi dealers, so they somewhat have a better negotiating power.

But before I bought mine, I called around to SoCal and people there were willing to go down to $2500 off for ordering. So with a with 6 months sitting at the lot, you should be able to do 3K or better.

Poking around the forums, I haven't read any people got 3K off on a new one. I think most of us ended up ordering ours.

I also thought about getting a used one and save some bucks, but at the end, I rather break her in on my own. $$ versus trusting the other for breakin.

Good luck!
