Front struts replacement and central valves. Hope i turns out with these new improved part numbers. Supposedly. Wish they would replace all 4.

Default Should be the new parts, by now all dealers have them...

But just confirm.

Actually Reggie's advice may not be thhat outlandish, make sure they don't give you the "slight perspiration is normal" brush-off...

Default DRC Update

Dealer is replacing just the fronts as they are the only struts with oil leaks and both are now clunking. Interesting thing, the dealer was aware of the DRC recall on the RS6, he actually told me about it, i didn't ask. So they do know about it now. He thinks the RS4 will follow shortly, at which time he will replace my rears leaking or not.

Anyways I will let them replace these, see how they perform. If they go leak free and clunk free I will stick with them. No sense in investing $4k into Stasis MS if I don't have issues with the new ones. Better to spend the money on other stuff like buying stock in this hammered market! Been loading up on AMD shares the past few weeks and day trading it, get a nice 10-15% swing every week. Pretty volatile little stock.

Default So just fronts, not the central accumulators?

Have them check the pressure on all 4 corners, when they replaced my 2 fronts (only thing they did) clunking was still theere, 200 miles later they started leaking anew. Make sure they do a full system inspection as opposed to a patch. If your pressure is below spec on all corners they will need to replace the 2 valves as well...

How do they check pressure at all 4 corners? I thought they could only tell at the valves?

FWIW the dealer replaced the fronts+valves on mine - no problems whatsoever.

Default My dealer claimed they checked Bar pressure at each shock pt

But then again, they haven't been the most versed in doing such reparis (though by how they have had a dozen cars in for such service). When I got mine replaced, dealer claimed: "we called Audi Germany, we were instructed to check pressure at each corner, all 4 came below spec, Audi gave us clearance for full replacement (4 shocks 2 accumulators)."

Default Yup. 1K miles later, she is dry and tight!

Hoping the new parts make the difference here, after 2 incidents (and 6 shocks), I've had enough of it. Took her up on the lift yesterday and thoroughly inspected all 4 shocks, happy to say she is as dry as a woman in post-menopause. LOL
