Last week, one of my colleagues from work asked how I got the huge door ding in my passenger door. I thought it was a bad joke, but alas there was a 3/4 inch diameter, 1/8 inch deep, ding with paint scuffing. The sad part of it is that it occurred in fenced off parking lot at work. There are lots of really nice cars (with a few ****ty ones) there and I can't imagine anyone bashing their door into another car with that much force.

I took the car in to have the door re-sprayed, but they talked me into having the paint-less dent guy give it a go. Well, $250 later the results are amazing. The large door ding is 98% invisible to me and probably 100% invisible to everyone else. A second small door ding is completely gone too. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with the results. Anyone with door dings, it is definitely worth a try!

looking for the careless bastard with a small black marking on their car door. Then, tape a copy of the invoice to his windshield (unless it's your boss).

Years ago I actually in my car when an old couple pulled up and bashed my door. I watched the whole thing. The guy was so immobile, apparently the only was for him to get out of his car was to give his door a very well-rehearsed push so that it would fully open without him having to reach. Bastard probably ruined hundreds of paintjobs and was absolutely indifferent - completely clueless. These are the class of people who drive im the passing lane 20mph BELOW the speed limit and cause countless accidents, yet these are the very same people who take the time to write their lawmakers asking everybody else be put in jail for the gall of actually knowing how to drive and worse of all - enjoying it.

I've had several dings removed from previous cars. You know that you should get the repair guys direct cellphone number and he should be able to do a ding for $85.
