Guess I'll be changing my name from avp to avpRS4...
Bought a slightly used Phantom black from Schaumburg Audi, IL. It has about 3100 miles on it. I live in eastern Canada, flying down to drive it home April 30th... 2400 mile drive home... Any words of advice?
Hoping I made the right decision, sold my B5 S4...

Congrate dude,
I also want to be a happy owner of the RS, but I'm waiting for my call from the dealer telling me, hey you can order your 08 RS. So I have a couple of months to wait before I can enjoy the car.

the RS4 is an amazing automobile. powerful, comfortable, beautiful, and rare. make sure the dealer changes the oil and filter, tops off all of the other fluids, properly sets the tire pressure, sets up Sirius for you and then your off. the drive should be a blast. congrats and good luck!

Re: Congrate dude,
I am currently in the market for a new RS4. I am curious: what is making you wait for the 2008 (besides cosmetic changes) vs. taking a 2007 off dealer stock? Anything I should be looking out for?
Thanks

Re: Congrate dude,
That I know of nothing,is because I'm leaving the country to China for 2 weeks and then back to my country for a months then to Japan for 2 months summer session. So instead of getting an 07 now and drive it for a week then leave, i'll wait to order for an 08.

Bring something to read at the Border...
See if you can get the dealer to ship the owner's and nav guides to you so you can read up before the trip.
Before you drive off:
-new wiper blades
-oil change
-check tire mobility kit
-take pics of car and post on forum
Things you should have with you:
-spare tire(s)
-motor oil
-tire sealant
-change(toll roads ya know)
-chapstick(you'll have a **** eating grin all the way home and why suffer with cracked lips)
-nav and owners manuals
-list of AoA approved motor oil and gasoline
You will want a matching spare wheel and tire in case you get a flat and/or bend a rim. Finding a new tire or rim may take a few days if they are not in stock(never are it seems - just like the TPMS sensor and $95 tire sealant.
