Default H&R springs installed

After much deliberation about whether to go with the Statis setup or something else, I decided to take the cheap route and do the H&Rs. I just couldn't swing the Statis setup right now and was getting sick of the "up on stilts" look of the stock suspension. Attached are some pics of the drop. I really like the look, not too low and definately a meaner stance. The added benefit is, better handling. Enjoy.

If your DRC fails, you are hosed. Keep the original springs around for quick swap just in case

Default Keith, looks great, but......

I've learned through years of tuning that when you take the "cheap route" especially on a car like this, you will always get hosed in the end. Upgraded springs almost always need a shock upgrade to function properly, and with a delicate system like the DRC, you might be in for some trouble. If that occurs, you'll end up paying for new stock shocks or having to upgrade the shocks to aftermerket anyway, and ditch the DRC system entirely. Either way, it's a costlier propostition. My advice.....do it right, or don't do it at all. As far as the "up on stilts look", I personally don't think the stock RS4 is too bad, but that is purely an individual thing.

Yeah, I know what bumpstops feel like buddy and it is nothing of the sort. Feels much tighter and less body roll.

I still have the stock springs. My intention is to replace the suspension within the next year with either the Stasis setup or some sort of coilovers. I have to say, I am sure the Stasis is awesome but damn they are expensive. It is even more than the Dinan JRZ setup I had in my M5.

Default I thought about this too. It hasn't been proven but MY theory is ...

That the springs are the main difference if not the only difference between the euro suspension and the U.S. suspension.

Boca, how was the install? Did the DRC system need to be "recharged"? I never was able to get a straight answer. H&R said no, mod friendly dealer said yes.

Looks good by the way.
