Re: No Steve, it's the DRC... Crapola. :-)
I, for one, am not a big fan of DRC. I'm just less of a fan of overly slammed aftermarket suspensions. There are obvious downsides there too.
Stock, RS4 ride compliance is much improved over the S4. I can say this having driven an RS4 and owning an S4(B6).
DRC? Yeh, it may be responsible for some of the improvement over the S4, but, like you, I don't necessarily think DRC is the answer, or the future.

I am inclined to agree with daveak05 on DRC. The ride is compliant, but the cornering is a clear compromise. As I do not track my car DRC is fine, if a bit frustrating in the occasional fast exit/entry ramp. If I were to track it, I would look for a stouter suspension. If I were a better driver I have no doubt that the stock suspension would answer well enough, but I need all the help that I can get at more than 8/10.

there's an awful lot of envy of the RS4, it's to be expected
it's a shame you guys have to constantly put up with this, IMO. now an A4 took it on the track because it had better rubber?? a 1.8T i assume too.
