Hankook Ventus V12

Hankook Ventus V12
i read an article on car & driver that put these tires to the test and compared them with other more expensive tires and reported them to be just as good if not better.
they're only $180 a tire compared to the OEM Conti's that cost almost $350 a tire. they also have good wear rating.
thinking of giving them a try (275/30/19). my CS3 were shot by 12,000 Miles and these seem to have good reviews.. was considering the RE-11's but tread wear is poor and i don't feel like changing tires every time i do an oil change
anyone want to protest my purchase?

I have also heard good things about these tires on various forums...corvettes, M3s, etc. Most enthusiasts have gave them favorable ratings for everyday use. For the price, most feel that they are very good. The only thing I've heard mentioned a few times is that they do have "softer" side walls, which may not be good if you tracked them a lot.
I was actually considering picking these up too.

I just replaced the OEM Continentals on our S4 with these tires. It's been about a month and approximately 600 miles and I am still waiting for something to criticize. Except for wet performance (it has yet to rain here), these tires are significantly superior to the Conti Sport Contact 2. They are quieter, more comfortable, have better steering response and grip better. Some of these differences are significant and some are minor. Nevertheless, the V12 is a great maximum performance tire worthy of consideration.
The question is, would I use them on my RS4? That would be a tough question to answer, but I am going for some extreme performance tires on that one.
