Default Has anyone had any success getting their green CF engine covers replaced?

I've been talking with AoA about the issue and they are "looking into" how to handle the problem.

My dealer and AoA claim that they agree its due to heat from the engine, but they are not sure what can be done to keep it from happening again. They will be getting back to me next week. They had me send photos (wanted me to have the dealer take them but I refused).

Are anyone else's this green???

Default Mine are that green, I haven't had a chance to meet up with the Audi rep to discuss...

I can take pics as well and send them to you. This way you can show the rep that it is happening to others.

I would say it's just something that happens and we have to deal with it, but I've seen B5 RS4 engine covers older then mine and they haven't turned green. I've seen some that have, but if some haven't there must be a reason for it.

Default I suspect that there is a design defect in the color change - I wonder what the R8s do - as don't

they have even more carbon fiber?

Default Very true. You can send the pics to me if you like and I will forward them along. It may help...

all of us if this actually does any good.

Its not the end of the world if they say no, but if Audi will own up to the problem and fix it then I will be pleased. It is unsightly.

Sending pics and talking with AoA for 5 minutes every couple of days isn't a big time investment for me.

We will see where this goes.

If you decide to send the pics you can send them to me at: briana [at] cdeair dot com

Thanks.

I can't believe I didn't think of that. That is by far the most rational solution. lol.
