headrest adjustment mod
This is my high-tech, performance-enhancing mod contribution to this board. Not quite the same thrills as deflapping, but satisfying nonetheless if you're fed up with the fixed, uncomfortable angle of the headrest as I was.
As MrBucket observed below, there are pieces of plastic holding the headrest at a fixed angle. The plastic pieces turn out to be easily removed, almost like they were designed to be taken out. After removal, the headrest angle adjusts as one expects.
The headrests are removable by pressing in the side of the collar at the base of one of the chrome rods, and lifting up. The offending plastic pieces are visible through the cutouts in the foam where the chrome rods enter the headrest. I removed only the pieces preventing backwards tilt adjustment, but the pieces preventing forward tilt look the same. Each is attached at four points to the surrounding plastic. I took a small flat bladed screwdriver and pushed through three of the attachment points; and after that used needle nose pliers to twist out the plastic piece. Once I used the screwdriver method on all four attachment points, but the plastic piece fell into the headrest innards and was removed only after considerable shaking.
MrBucket mentioned that the fixed angle is some new safety thing. Perform this mod at your own risk!

Re: headrest adjustment mod
This was one of my gripes when I got the car last week that the headrests could not be adjusted for tilt. I pulled one off and took a look and it appears the plastic pieces are molded into the surrounding plastic. Can I assume this is a permanent mod and once you start there is no going back since the plastic pieces have now been broken off?
