Default Help: Detailers ruined my car

Can somebody provide advice on how to remove a product called Liquid Glass from my car interior? I have a 2007 RS4 and just had it cleaned. I asked the detailer not use any chemicals on the interior as I like the original matt finish on the dash and leather seats. Sure enough, I pick the car up and they covered the interior with Liquid Glass. The car smells horrible, every surface is shiny and slippery. Can I remove this stuff and get back to the original finish? The interior is black.
Thanks in advance for any advice. I also posted on the Detailers forum.

Default Time is on your side... this stuff eventually goes away.

I hate it too. I am not saying that there isn't a quicker way to do that, there maybe. But I myself just let time take care of it.

Default try

windex on all surfaces but leather...mild soap for the leather. then re-treat leather with a conditioner, matte finish.

p.s. the only way to keep this from happening in future is to keep it away from the detail geeks.

Default depends on what the "stuff" is

he mentioned "liquid glass', which sounds like a paint detail finish, not an interior detail product, IIRC.

in any case, it's best to remove it instead of just letting it dull over time.

Default Update: Thanks for the input. They used

Liquid Glass Connoisseur's Choice®
Leather, Vinyl & Rubber Protectant with Mink Oil. The car smells like cheap cologne now. I used Windex on the vinyl bits and the seats and it seems to have taken most of the stuff off. It's dark out so I'll wait until tomorrow to see what it looks like. Now I'm concerned that the Windex will damage the leather so I'll try wiping it down with a damp rag with water only. What a good way to F up my night.

i wouldn't have used the Windex on the leather, as it's an ammonia based formula. it works well on the trim(dash material, doors, etc), as it will not harm or change the appearance. this being to remove something, not normal wipe-down or cleaning.

normally, i just use a mild soap on the dash and trim too, but that won't remove detailing conditioners as Windex will...a one time shot kind of thing.

Default vinylex on the plastic and lexol leather cleaner (orange bottle) on the leather should remove it.

you might want to dilute the vinylex with water, because it leaves a dull gloss finish when used full-strength.

Default I would use Einszett cockpit or Griots interior cleaner

those are the only two products i would recommend on the interior of the car... both have a nice neutral ph and can be used on pretty much every surface without greasy residue...they will also take care of the stuff that is already there...

you could finish with zaino leather cleaner/conditioner on the seats if you wanted

Default Re: depends on what the "stuff" is

Liquid glass, I believe, is Meguire's trade name for a lot of their products, both interior and exterior. Don't like that stuff.

I agree though- gotta get the Windex out of there and put some leather conditioner on the seats....
