Default HELP!!....I got keyed!!..

I just noticed three 6 inch long key scratches on the rear of my trunk! One above the RS4 logo, and two on the opposite side. THey are all the way through the paint!!! What are my options? Can a good body shop fix this, or do I need a whole new trunk lid? Any help would be most appreciated.

Default That is fvcked up. Take it to your audi dealer and see what they recommend.

I don't think touch up paint will do it, might have to get the trunk repainted.

Default Sorry to hear..You don't need a new trunk lid, but you should have a

complete repaint of the keyed parts if you want it done right. Get an estimate and see if you want to go through your insurance.

Default That sux bro but no worries

Sorry, I know how damage to your baby feels - my M5 got T-boned by a 50mph pickup truck while legally parked at a restarant while I watched the whole thing from my bar chair. ($25,000 damage). It was resored BETTER than new. But it took a long, long time.

Don't worry though, a good paint shop will repaint to look at least as good a new and shouldn't take more two days. Won't be cheap though - guessing $800 to blend all adjacent panels.

So, did you **** someone off or just the usual (pitiful) envy-motive?

Not to doubt you, but a 50mph side impact would total most, if not all, cars...
