Oddest RS4 Dyno plot I've seen (edited)
Peak torque occurs at 3500 RPM, not at 5500 RPM as it should. At 5000 RPM the intake ram flap is actuated, giving addition positive boost in the intake around 5500 RPM, and shows up in all dynos. This plot shows a boost at this RPM that is lower than than at 3500 RPM, which is doubtful.
I think the dyno correction factors are wrong. I think the inertial dyno being used is either measuring or correcting for drive line losses incorrectly. I'd like to see the raw WHP plots.
Hmmm, I'm beginning to wonder if there is any truth to the rumor that full HP is cut back until 5K miles. That might explain the suppressed torque curve above 5000 rpm. Nah, I think it's just that the engine is still tight at 1500 miles. Everyone of us feels a huge increase in HP at 5K to 7K miles. Based on his baseline, at 1500 miles the engine is 11% down on HP, yet low end torque is about where it is supposed to be. All the gain at the top end seems to come on after 5K miles. We might not be able to see any differences that the downpipes make until more miles are on the engine.

Any idea what kind of remap that they did?
To Tony at EPL and myself, it was not obvious what could be remapped in the ECU that would not be "recorrected" by the closed-loop control system.
