Holy whack automobiles, batman ! I converted my RS4 into a Prius !
Ok, so I heard all this stuff about the idea of imposing speed limits on the autobahn to save gas, so I decided to try this for myself.
So my friend's friend's typical highway gas mileage over a 2 hour highway drive is 19.7 mpg.. that is averaging a not too fast not too slow 80mph over 2 hours.
Anyway, so I decided to see what happens when I drive at 60mph, 6th gear cruising. I did this over 10 mi.
To my surprise, I averaged 24.8mpg !! We are talking about 25 mpg in an RS4 ! I have to duplicate this test on my 2 hour drive sometime, but I couldn't believe the difference.
So first off, after the experiment is over, I am never doing this again. I got passed by EVERY car you could imagine, including a Uhaul truck and a SUBARU JUSTY (I $hit you not)!!

Secondly, I just can't tolerate driving that slow in this car. It just doesn't make sense. Anyway, curious if you guys knew our car's PRIUS POTENTIAL

That's nothing, today I converted mine to an A4 with a 2.0 and the Turbo lag almost......
got me killed on the way home. By the way the brakes suck too! I am still amazed that the two cars have anything to do with each other. I asked for an S6 loaner but they were all out ;-)
