Default How to change an RS4 Grill

Does anybody have instructions / steps on how to change a 2007 RS4 grill? I have already mounted the plate insert on it, all I need it is to swap the one I have with a new one. Appreciate any help. I have not yet looked to see if this is a relatively simple process or not and wanted to check on the forums first for any feedback or loopholes.

Thanks.

Ross

You need to completely remove the front bumper and attack the bolts/screws on the inside of the bumper. Im sure there is a DIY either on here or Audizine... Hope this helps.

no, i think he's talking about the filler panel. that's 4 screws. you can get to them with a standard screwdriver from the front of the car.

I don't think so. He said "I have already mounted the plate insert on it" which means that the filler panel/license plate holder is pre-mounted on the grill he wants to install. At least, that's the way I read it.

Also, the filler panel/license plate holder requires a Torx bit (not sure what size). I know mine did.

mine did not. but you are right, lots of the filler panels do. possibly mine had been switched previously.

I just got a new grille and filler plate to replace the damaged one that came on my car. The dealer took care of all of it (no charge), but it did take a few hours as the entire front bumper needs to be removed to do it. If you just need to replace the filler plate, then the front bumper doesn't need to be removed.
