How do bicycles fit in the trunk of 07 RS4's with seat down?
I used to fit my road bike and my mt. bike, seperately of course in my E46 M3. I want an RS4 but want to make sure my bikes fit in.
Thanks!

Re: "How do bicycles fit in the trunk of 07 RS4's with seat down?" Klein(55) roadbike fits fine

I drop the back seats(car), take off the front tire(bike), and put it in the trunk...it's not a problem getting this bike in.

With both wheels off, I have fit 2 complete bikes.
One road, one mountain, with gear packed in the nooks and crannies for a long weekend of riding.
I even came home with a third frame, but then I had to stick stuff in the front passenger seat.
No lie: I bought the car because it could tote a bike inside with ease (I have a lot more experience with bikes than cars)

Yeah, but the good thing about it...
is that our cars come with these arrows and holes

making it extremely easy to mount the rack when compared to the others.
Plus Audi uses Thule parts so the quality is at least good.

Thule uses the same...
The current Thule rack adapter even has a pin that fits into the hole in the RS4 roof. It results in an extremely solid attachment.
Which may or may not be good. I've driven into my garage with the bike on the roof a couple of times over the years. Each time, the racks have slid backwards a bit, minimizing the damage to the bike. With this system I fear the bike will take a bigger hit. I suppose the best option would be take the bike off BEFORE driving into the garage...

A guy I know did this a few weeks ago with his B7 S4, Thule Rack, and Specilized S-Works Tarmac...
Needless to say he bought a Cervelo the next week. The bike didn't stand a chance and the car was fine.
