How easy is it to remove window tint? I'm looking at a low mile Phantom Black RS4 with what
appears to be 35% tint all around. Not only is it illegal in my jurisdiction but I don't like the looks either. My concern would be the residue, RW defogger damage etc. and not so much the cost of doing it.

if it's been on there a while, not easy.
I remember having to use full-strength ammonia to remove the tint residue on a car I had years ago...it was the only thing that would dissolve the adhesive. it was a nightmare.

Thanks, sounds like a job for a trusted pro. This thing has an April in-service date so at least
at least it hasn't been on for long. Now it's just a small matter of negotiating a deal :-)

My RS6 had tint from previous owner that a tinting pro came to the dealership and removed easily for
me. Was too dark for Chicago streets for good side to side vision. It was probably on the car a little over a year.
