How easy is it to VAG off the TPMS..........for the snows
I was considering just VAG it off. I don't track the car, and hopefully I would know before driving if I had a problem. I'm about to order some winter tires and was considering going without em. It's another 300 bucks...not a killer but if I really don't need em........

Very easy...
1) First you need a serial or USB VAG cable with CAN interface (older non-CAN cables will not work on the RS4)
2) Plug-in the cable, turn the ignition on accesory or start, run the VAG-COM software.
3) Go to "17-Instruments" and on Adaptation Channel 6, subtract 512 from whatever value is there. In my RS4, the default value was 3843 and by changing it to 3331, the TPMS was disabled.
4) Change it back to the original value whenever you want to enable the TPMS again.
Done.
